About

On Sunday, March 21, 2027, the Théâtre du Châtelet presents Bibbidi Doo, a jazz performance reimagining classic Walt Disney film scores. From Snow White to Frozen, the vocal trio Swing Birds blends swing rhythms and close harmony to breathe new life into century-old soundtracks. Accompanied by a live musical ensemble, the performers combine singing with choreography and costume changes for a high-energy show. Suitable for children aged 5 and up, this event is specifically designed to be accessible to blind or visually impaired guests, ensuring an inclusive afternoon of music for everyone in attendance.

A jazz cocktail! Or when Walt Disney standards get put through the shaker...

A pioneer of the American animated film in the 20th century, Walt Disney brought together all the greatest composers of his time. He thus created a musical genre and repertoire in its own right, the success of which has never waned. Having become legendary almost as soon as they were heard, The Walt Disney Company's soundtracks are nearly a hundred years old, yet children know them as well as their parents, from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs to Frozen, by way of The Jungle Book or Mary Poppins.

A trio of singers specializing in vocal jazz, accompanied by a musical ensemble, has decided to revisit this vast and rich repertoire by shaking up the standards. In their shaker, some swing, lots of pep, and an unparalleled ingredient: close harmony. In other words, three voices whose ranges and intervals are very close, for ever more fusion and emotion. More than a vocal performance, Bibbidi Boo (the title is inspired by Cinderella) is a true spectacle, where dresses change to the rhythm of the music and where the singers dance. Because, with the Swing Birds' motto: "Why walk when you can swing?", energy will always prevail over nostalgia!
