We are far here from the role of the blonde secretary played in "La revue de presse de Catherine et Liliane" or Guy, the film he directed which earned him a César for Best Actor in 2019. But Alex Lutz proves his ability to delve into the spectrum of characters that surround him, to our great delight.
Composed with the idea of a show that would speak about intergenerational conflicts, Sexe, grog et rocking-chair is above all tinged with the passing of Gérard, Alex Lutz's father. Gradually, this figure quickly becomes the common thread of the sketches, oscillating between humor and melancholy. Add to that well-felt references from the 1980s (answering machine messages, never-ending renovations, Stevie Wonder hits), and you get everything that makes the audience rise for Alex Lutz.
