Halloween: The Big Thrill
Paris sheds its usual elegance this weekend to embrace its darker side with a series of chilling events tailored for thrill-seekers. From underground haunts to eerie immersive performances, these festivities promise a heart-pounding experience where the line between reality and the supernatural completely blurs.
About
For the record, Halloween is originally a Celtic festival of Irish origin. About 3,000 years ago, the calendar did not end on December 31, but on October 31. And this last night of the year was the night of the god of death (Samhain). The Celts believed that during this night, the boundaries between the world of the dead and the living were open and the latter had to wear scary costumes to ward off evil spirits. These legends were exported to the United States with Irish and Scottish migrants in the mid-19th century. And today, Halloween is a widely celebrated holiday, especially in France.
As every year, young and old will have fun during the scariest night of the year. A cauldron of events planned in the capital to discover!
