About

This season, the Et Voilà! association invites you on a journey. Each concert is narrated: between the pieces, pianist DOm Paulin shares stories about the works and their composers. No need to know classical music to enjoy it.

Program:

  • Monday, November 16: Land of Music op.1, Ukraine. A violin, a piano, and three centuries of Ukrainian music, carried by artists who defended their culture against all odds.
  • Monday, December 7: Monsters and Chimeras. Dragons, ogres, ghosts, and Japanese yōkai gather for a nocturnal parade on piano, small instruments, and synthesizers.
  • Monday, January 25: Land of Music op.2, Germany-Austria (1). A solo piano, masters forgotten until Bach and Beethoven, and two Viennese female composers to rediscover.
  • Monday, March 8: Land of Music op.3, Germany-Austria (2). A trio of piano, violin, and cello, from Haydn to Brahms, including Fanny Mendelssohn and Emilie Mayer.
  • Monday, April 26: Dinner Time! A soprano, a baritone, and a piano serve seven centuries of gourmand music, from Versailles to Broadway.
  • Monday, May 24: Land of Music op.4, Austria. A quartet tells the story of the Vienna of Mahler, Alma, and Schoenberg, between romanticism and revolution.

"Land of Music" is the new common thread for the season: a musical world tour that will continue over several years.

With DOm Paulin (piano and narration), Nadiia Kramarenko (violin), Nicolas Boucher (cello), Alice Marzuola (soprano), Franz Lavrut (baritone), and other guests.

Our take on this event

Classical music is finally shedding its formal shell to make room for storytelling and intimate musical discovery. Let the stage come alive with tales behind the scores, making every note resonate with the personal journeys of the composers.

Located in the 18th arrondissement, Studio l'Accord Parfait hosts a series of narrated concerts led by pianist DOm Paulin. From November 2026 through May 2027, these sessions explore diverse themes, ranging from Ukrainian musical heritage to the works of Austrian composers, and even a recital dedicated to monsters. Each event is designed to be accessible to everyone, regardless of prior knowledge of classical music. These performances are entirely free and open to anyone aged 12 and over, offering a cultural experience where commentary between pieces provides historical and artistic context to the compositions.

The association Et Voilà ! presents a season of musical storytelling at Studio l'Accord Parfait. Between November 16, 2026, and May 24, 2027, six evenings are scheduled, all taking place from 20:00 to 21:30. Pianist DOm Paulin acts as both performer and narrator, sharing stories about the works and their composers between each musical segment to enrich the audience's understanding.

The series starts on November 16 with Ukrainian music, followed on December 7 by a night dedicated to monsters and chimeras. On January 25 and March 8, the focus shifts to German and Austrian repertoire featuring various instrumental ensembles. A culinary-themed concert for soprano and baritone takes place on April 26, before the season concludes on May 24 with a look at Mahler and Schoenberg’s Vienna. These sessions, suitable for ages 12 and up, feature guest artists including Nadiia Kramarenko, Nicolas Boucher, Alice Marzuola, and Franz Lavrut.
