You will leave with enough autonomy to start your own projects!
Program:
Washable wipes, lined tote bag, zippered pouch, and elastic-waisted pajama shorts or skirt.
Level 1: no experience required, complete beginners are welcome! You have never touched a sewing machine, or it has been a long time. You wish to discover how to use it and learn the basic concepts. You will be guided step-by-step through threading the machine and assembly.

Open to beginners aged 16 and over, this course guides you through the creation of four distinct items: reusable wipes, a lined tote bag, a zippered pouch, and elastic-waist shorts or a skirt. All necessary equipment is provided on-site. Each class runs from 10:00 to 12:30, providing a hands-on environment to build your skills and sewing independence. The studio is fully accessible to wheelchair users.
Ateliers By The Way invites absolute beginners to discover the art of sewing through a 10-hour intensive program. Spread across four consecutive mornings, this course covers everything from threading the machine to advanced assembly techniques, ensuring you gain the confidence to pursue your own sewing projects. You will create four specific items during the workshop: reusable wipes, a lined tote bag, a zippered pouch, and either a pair of elastic-waist pajamas or a skirt.
Sessions take place at 100, rue du Faubourg Saint-Martin, 75010 Paris, with two scheduled blocks available: from November 16 to 19, 2026, and from December 14 to 17, 2026. All classes occur between 10:00 and 12:30. The full course fee is 230 euros. To accommodate your needs, payment can be split into three installments, and holiday vouchers (chèques vacances) are accepted upon request. The venue is fully wheelchair accessible.
