This Saturday, October 10th, from 10 am to 12 pm, join us on Rue du Sommerard. A 'school street' for several years now, this green and pedestrianized space will be celebrating for a morning, featuring free workshops and activities for all ages.
On the program
- A planting workshop: sow your seeds in an individual pot to take home. An activity that was a great success last year.
- Activities with the Council for Architecture, Urbanism and the Environment: customize a postcard, follow a treasure hunt, and play bingo to explore the street in a different way.
What are school streets?
Since 2014, the 5th arrondissement Town Hall has been redeveloping the areas around schools: more than 15 streets have already been pedestrianized and greened, including Rue du Sommerard. The goal: to limit car traffic, calm the areas around schools, and give space back to pedestrians and vegetation.
