About

Summary

Deep in the forests of the Pacific Northwest, isolated from society, a devoted father has dedicated his entire life to raising his six young children into extraordinary adults.
But when a tragedy strikes his family, they are forced to leave the paradise he created for them. Discovering the outside world will force him to question his parenting methods and challenge everything he has taught them.

Prix de la mise en scène in the Un Certain Regard category at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. Nominated for the Oscar for Best Actor (Viggo Mortensen).
