About
The Centre LGBTQIA+ Paris et IDF partners with Grey Pride to host the exhibition Autrement Vieillir from 5 October to 30 October 2026. Featuring works by artists Linn Underhill, Faustine Jacquot, and Arianne Clément, this photography and illustration project explores the experiences of LGBTQIA+ elders, addressing themes of isolation and social invisibility. The event is free and open to anyone aged 18 and over, with visiting hours from 14:00 to 19:00, Monday through Saturday. The venue is fully accessible to wheelchair users and provides adaptations for visitors with sensory or cognitive disabilities.
Description: The GreyPRIDE association presents a committed exhibition, an extension of the collective work "Autrement vieillir : vulnérabilités et résistances LGBT+" (Aging differently: LGBT+ vulnerabilities and resistances). Three artists - Linn Underhill, Faustine Jacquot, and Arianne Clément - showcase, through photography and illustration, the experiences of elderly LGBTQIA+ individuals: isolation, erasure of life stories, desexualization of bodies, and lack of recognition. The exhibition affirms creation as an act of resistance and invites us to imagine spaces where everyone can age in connection, freedom, and pride.
Our take on this event
Hosted at the Centre LGBTQIA+ Paris IDF in the 3rd arrondissement, the Autrement Vieillir exhibition serves as a creative extension of the collective work focusing on the struggles and resilience of older LGBTQIA+ individuals. Through a blend of photography and illustration, artists Linn Underhill, Faustine Jacquot, and Arianne Clément offer a poignant look at the challenges of aging, including the erasure of personal narratives and the societal desexualization of older bodies. The exhibition positions artistic expression as a vital act of resistance.
Visitors aged 18 and older are welcome to explore the gallery Monday through Saturday, from 14:00 to 19:00, until 30 October 2026. Admission is free for all. Committed to inclusivity, the venue ensures full accessibility, with specific provisions in place for wheelchair users, individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing, those who are blind or partially sighted, and visitors with cognitive impairments.
