About
Discover the hidden wildlife of Paris through the photography exhibition by Frédéric Combeau. Located in the heart of the Parc de Bercy, this collection highlights the biodiversity thriving within the city's parks and urban wastelands. As a photographer for the City's Department of Green Spaces and the Environment, Combeau captures the city's fauna with remarkable patience and technical skill. This open-air exhibition is entirely free to visit and remains on display between the romantic garden and the Yitzhak Rabin garden until March 31, 2027.
A passionate autodidact since childhood, Frédéric Combeau first trained his photographer's eye in the depths of the Parisian quarries, where he took his first shots using an ingenious lighting system he developed himself.
Today a photographer for the Department of Green Spaces and Environment, he travels through parks, gardens, and urban wasteland to capture the wildlife that slips into the interstices of the capital. His demanding and patient approach magnifies each animal by revealing it in its natural environment.
Through a selection of carefully chosen images, this exhibition offers visitors an unexpected face-to-face with Parisian wildlife — a sensitive immersion into a living, discreet, yet intensely present Paris.
See it at Parc de Bercy (12th arrondissement), facing the Maison du jardinage et du compostage, until March 2027.
