On Saturday, January 9, 2027, the Premier Mouvement festival brings a unique tribute to Johann Sebastian Bach to the Saint-Étienne-du-Mont church. Actress and director Agnès Jaoui shares her personal perspective on Bach's music, joined by organist Vincent Warnier and a group of promising young soloists. The evening, running from 21:00 to 23:00, features organ works, violin sonatas, cello suites, and the Goldberg Variations, alongside a premiere by Jean-Baptiste Robin. Designed by violist Paul Zientara, the event is fully accessible to wheelchair users, as well as deaf, hard-of-hearing, blind, or visually impaired guests, with sign language interpretation provided throughout.

The Premier Mouvement festival continues its first edition with a second concert dedicated to Johann Sebastian Bach at the Saint-Étienne-du-Mont church.

This evening welcomes Agnès Jaoui, who will share with the audience her perspective on Bach's music, alongside Vincent Warnier, titular organist of Saint-Étienne-du-Mont. Punctuating her narrative, the evening will feature music for organ, violin, viola, and cello, performed by Vincent Warnier and some of the most promising young soloists of their generation.

Conceived and artistically directed by violist Paul Zientara, Premier Mouvement is a new traveling chamber music festival in Paris, bringing together young performers and guest artists around the repertoire and contemporary creation.

The first edition of the traveling chamber music festival Premier Mouvement stops at the historic Saint-Étienne-du-Mont church on January 9, 2027. Between 21:00 and 23:00, the audience will experience a blend of narrative and performance as Agnès Jaoui reflects on Bach’s legacy alongside organist Vincent Warnier. They are supported by a talented ensemble of young performers including Laura Jarrell, Emmanuel Coppey, Paul Zientara, Clara Dietlin, and Axel de Marnhac.

The musical program highlights key pieces by Bach such as the Goldberg Variations and selections for violin and cello, complemented by a new commission by composer Jean-Baptiste Robin. Artistic director Paul Zientara curates this series to bridge the gap between established repertoire and contemporary creation.

Tickets are available from 10 to 25 euros. The venue is fully accessible, offering specific provisions for wheelchair users as well as blind, visually impaired, deaf, or hard-of-hearing attendees, including the use of sign language to ensure an inclusive musical experience.
