Step back into the vibrant interwar era of Montparnasse with this guided walking tour hosted by the Comité d'histoire de la Ville de Paris. On Tuesday, November 10, 2026, you will visit the studios, artist residences, and iconic buildings that once drew international painters and sculptors to the 14th arrondissement. Suitable for ages 12 and up, this experience explores the neighborhood's unique heritage and bustling café culture. Attendance is free, though capacity is strictly limited to 25 participants per group. Please note that booking is mandatory for all attendees and will be available starting October 20.

Having become the main center of Parisian artistic life during the interwar period, Montparnasse attracted creators from all over the world. Throughout this visit, you will explore the artists' colonies, studios, and buildings specially designed for painters and sculptors. You will relive the atmosphere of the cafés and brasseries that helped make Montparnasse one of the most vibrant and cosmopolitan places in the capital.
