Come and celebrate public school!

On Saturday, October 10th, the 11th arrondissement Town Hall celebrates public school. An afternoon to honor it, celebrate it, and showcase everything that is built there every day: children who learn, experiment, meet, grow, and flourish.

About

Public school is, first and foremost, a place for learning and emancipation. Committed and competent teachers impart knowledge, develop critical thinking, and provide children with the tools to think for themselves, listen to others, and exercise their judgment to become citizens.

Public school welcomes little ones from the age of 3 and throughout their schooling; it will also be the place where they learn to live together. Children from different backgrounds, social environments, and cultures meet, discover each other, respect one another, and learn from each other. Public school rejects insularity and opens up to others.

Our district is particularly rich in true social diversity, and preserving it starts at school.

In a time when withdrawal and fear of others are gaining ground, it is essential to defend this school of the Republic, secular and open to all. We want to honor the children, facilitators, teachers, staff, parents, and everyone who contributes to bringing it to life on a daily basis.

We have decided to celebrate it and dedicate a day to it. On Saturday, October 10th, we invite you to an afternoon of debates, activities, and games for all ages, to meet, exchange, and celebrate our public school together joyfully.

We look forward to seeing many of you at the town hall!
