About
Stroll through the paths of the Pantin Parisian cemetery with your personal bike (as it is the largest in Europe!), accompanied by the agents who work there daily. They will share with you the specifics of their trades and the variety of their missions:
- Gravediggers maintain the funerary heritage that belongs to the City of Paris (graves, the funerary garden, temporary vaults), as well as the paths in the divisions. They also carry out administrative exhumations of graves reclaimed by the City;
- Technical assistants for cemetery space maintenance (ATEE) maintain planted areas using environmentally friendly methods (brush clearing, leaf collection, waste collection, etc.), adapting daily to intervene according to ceremonies;
- Reception and surveillance agents (AAS) control funerary operations, guide and inform visitors.
- Work supervisors are selected experienced gravediggers or AAS. They oversee work carried out by external companies related to funeral services (installation/removal of tombstones and steles, memorial monuments...).
- Administrative agents are in charge of processing family burial and exhumation requests, as well as the sale and renewal of concessions.
