Mother and Child Photo Workshop with Caroline Lepeu
Forget staged portraits and perfect ideals, here is a creative space to celebrate the messy, beautiful reality of motherhood. Through shared movement and honest conversation, you and your little ones will capture genuine moments of connection away from the lens. It is all about embracing your natural self and finding confidence in your own skin.

About
Photographer Caroline Lepeu hosts a special mother-child workshop at the Maurice Genevoix library on Saturday, November 14, 2026. From 10:30 to 12:00, this free session focuses on creativity, self-care, and maternal identity through writing, movement, and photography. Designed for adults aged 18 and over, the event encourages participants to capture authentic portraits that reflect their true, human selves. Please note that registration is mandatory as capacity is limited. The venue is fully accessible to wheelchair users and visitors with cognitive disabilities.
Thank you for taking this time for yourself, ladies!
During these two hours, we will set out in search of your well-being and creativity, aiming to rediscover your pride and sovereignty. Naturally, your child, or children, will not be left behind. A significant amount of time will be dedicated to imagery and taking photos of you and your child—not in the style of a 'Virgin and Child,' which set the bar far too high, but in the manner of a human mother, complete in her very nature as a woman. Come as you are, naturally: that is where you belong today. Registration for the workshop constitutes acceptance of the transfer of exploitation rights for the photos to help make mothers more visible! A digital copy of the photos will be sent to you.
This time is dedicated to you; we will get to know each other, we will write, we will dance, we will laugh, and we will talk about motherhood as well.
Then, for one hour, we will conduct the photo sessions. It will be light, relaxed, and focused on image, our bodies, the re-appropriation of our bodies, and loving ourselves as we are.
This workshop is funded by the 18th arrondissement town hall.
