About
On Sunday, November 29, 2026, the 38Riv Jazz Club presents an acoustic duo performance by guitarist Pierre Perchaud and double bassist Chris Jennings. Together since 2004, these musicians blend original compositions with jazz, folk, and classical influences in an intimate setting. The event features two distinct one-hour sets, from 19:30 to 20:30 and 21:30 to 22:30. Located in the heart of the 4th arrondissement, the club offers tickets ranging from 21€ to 24€ when purchased online, while on-site pricing is between 24€ and 27€ per person.
Chris Jennings and Pierre Perchaud met in 2004 in Paris, during a trio concert. From this meeting more than twenty years ago, the Jennings/Perchaud Acoustic Duo was immediately born. Starting in 2004, they embarked on a shared adventure, with a series of duo concerts in the Netherlands, including one at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. In 2007, the duo was in residence in the Canadian Rockies at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, followed by a tour and recordings for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC). The meeting of these two musicians around their original compositions allowed them to develop an inspired music that harmonizes writing and improvisation, drawing influences from jazz as well as folk or classical music. Chris Jennings and Pierre Perchaud share a clear pleasure and complicity in their music that drives them to constantly seek opportunities to play together.
“These two decades have allowed us to follow different trajectories, but they have never ceased to cross, uncross, and recross, enriching this friendly and musical complicity with new colors and sounds that harmonize writing and improvisation, in jazz as well as in folk or classical music.”
Line-up: Chris Jennings: double bass; Pierre Perchaud: acoustic guitar
