About
Pianist Baptiste Bailly wanted to bring together in this album numerous influences from the world of so-called traditional music, sources of powerful and profound inspiration. Spain, musette, Celtic and Mediterranean music, and impressionism meet and intertwine in a great nomadic and dreamy dance. The melodic sensitivity and the space left for improvisation give back to the evoked traditions all their living force, in a delicate and poetic album.
“A pianist with a delicate sound and clear, poetic melodies, Baptiste Bailly drew inspiration for his latest album, La Fascinante, from several Mediterranean or Oriental traditions, without ever leaving the impressionist imagery he has made his own.” Télérama
“Baptiste Bailly's talent shines through with La Fascinante, drawing from a source of melodies that seems never to dry up; he confirms the clarity and sensitivity of his touch. A deeply engaging album.” Alice Leclerc – Jazz News
