About
On the occasion of the closing of the Couloirs irréguliers exhibition, SOS MÉDITERRANÉE will be present for a meeting dedicated to their sea rescue missions and the human realities of migratory crossings in the Mediterranean.
Volunteers from the association will come to present their actions and share their commitment to the women, men, and children who attempt the crossing at the risk of their lives. Faced with shipwrecks and distress situations at sea, their mission is essential: to provide assistance, rescue, and save lives.
This meeting will also allow for a better understanding of the conditions under which these crossings take place, the dangers faced by exiled persons, and the human issues linked to sea rescue. A Q&A session with the public will allow for questions, learning about the association's work in concrete terms, and addressing concepts of solidarity, dignity, and civic engagement.
Resonating with the works of Couloirs irréguliers, which evoke departure, borders, the crossing, waiting, and hope, this evening will extend the exhibition through the words and testimonies of those acting on the ground.
Presentation of SOS MÉDITERRANÉE's actions, discussions with the public, and on-site donation collection to support their sea rescue missions.
