The Théâtre du Chariot presents GINA, a show combining puppetry, theatre, and Italian culinary traditions, suitable for children aged 4 and up. The story follows Gina as she celebrates her 80th birthday by preparing authentic pasta live on stage. Audience members are invited to participate in the cooking process before enjoying a shared tasting with the actress. This interactive experience, a success at the 2026 Avignon Off festival, offers a heartwarming and delicious outing in Paris. Gina is celebrating her 80th birthday and opens her kitchen doors to us. Between theater, puppetry, and memories of Southern Italy, she actually prepares birthday pasta on stage and invites young and old to get their hands dirty! A joyful and interactive moment that continues after the performance with a tasting of her pasta, an opportunity for a warm and friendly exchange with the actress.

Our take on this event

Gina turns 80 and opens her kitchen to share memories of Southern Italy in this charming production. By blending theatrical storytelling with puppetry and the actual cooking of fresh pasta, the performer creates a joyful, interactive environment where the audience is encouraged to join in. Following each show, guests are invited to taste the prepared dish, allowing for a friendly and informal conversation with the lead actress.

The event takes place at the Théâtre du Chariot from September 26 to November 1, 2026. Shows are scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays from 16:00 to 17:00. During school holidays, from Thursday, October 22 to Sunday, November 1, 2026, additional performances are held on Thursdays and Fridays from 14:00 to 15:00. This is a paid event recommended for ages 4 and older.
