About

The Apéro littéraire returns to MPAA/Breguet for two evenings on Friday, December 11, 2026, and Friday, April 30, 2027. From 19:30 to 21:30, the Vent Debout company and the MPAA invite you to explore contemporary plays written by women. Centered on the seasonal theme of Families, these readings feature young actors from Studio JLMB and the Darius Milhaud and Charles Münch conservatories, accompanied by dance performances from local amateur groups. This event is completely free and requires a reservation. Each evening concludes with a friendly gathering, allowing the audience to engage directly with the performers and authors in a relaxed setting.

The MPAA and Sarah Pèpe from the Vent Debout company offer evenings dedicated to discovering texts by contemporary female playwrights. For this new season, the Literary Aperitif is taking over the MPAA/Breguet.

This year, the texts presented are part of the season's theme, "Families." They are performed by young actors from Studio JLMB and students from the Darius Milhaud (14th arrondissement) and Charles Münch (11th arrondissement) conservatories.

The evening is punctuated by dance interludes from amateur groups rehearsing at the MPAA. The performance is followed by an aperitif where the audience, authors, actors, and theater enthusiasts can chat in a friendly atmosphere.

Our take on this event

Hosted at the MPAA/Breguet in the 11th arrondissement, the Apéro littéraire is a series curated by the Vent Debout company to celebrate contemporary female playwrights. On December 11, 2026, and April 30, 2027, from 19:30 to 21:30, the event focuses on the theme of Families through a selection of theatrical texts.

The readings are performed by students from Studio JLMB alongside pupils from the Darius Milhaud (14th arrondissement) and Charles Münch (11th arrondissement) conservatories. Throughout the evening, dance interludes performed by amateur groups who rehearse at the MPAA add a dynamic layer to the literary presentations.

Following the performance, attendees are invited to stay for a complimentary drink. This informal session is designed to encourage conversation between the audience, the authors, and the actors. Access to these events is free, though reservations are required.
