About

The exhibition Métamorphoses silencieuses (Infiniment petit) offers a poetic exploration of the plant world at the Maison du Jardinage et du Compostage in the 12th arrondissement. Through a series of limited-edition fine art prints, these photographs reveal the organic beauty of matter in transformation. Each piece is paired with a caption detailing the dialogue between the artist and the subject, inviting viewers to guess the identity of the plants depicted. This free artistic event remains open until 15 December 2026, allowing visitors to contemplate these memory-laden imprints showcased on textured cotton paper that brings subtle details to life.

Each image becomes a trace, an imprint, an organic memory.

A portrait - not of a living being, but of a substance that continues to tell a story, even when it seems to be fading away.

This is contemporary fine art work, published in a limited edition of 30 prints.

Each piece has a title and a caption displayed next to the print. The audience can have fun guessing the original plant, it is not always obvious!

The captions are fragments of life, thoughts of the day, what the plant tells me at the moment of its transformation.

The prints are made on Hahnemühle William Turner, a 100% cotton paper with a matte and slightly grainy texture, a textile-like touch, a surface that catches the light and reveals the subtlest details. It gives the images a soft yet deep presence, almost tactile - as if the material continued to breathe through the print.

You can come and enjoy this exhibition at the Maison du Jardinage et du Compostage until December 2026.

Our take on this event

The Maison du Jardinage et du Compostage hosts the photographic series Métamorphoses silencieuses (Infiniment petit) until 15 December 2026. This project focuses on the organic remains of vegetation, capturing the silent transition of matter through fine art prints limited to 30 copies. By utilizing Hahnemühle William Turner 100% cotton paper, the prints gain a matte, slightly granular texture that gives the images a tactile, breathing presence.

Visitors are encouraged to engage with the works by reading the accompanying captions. These notes, which contain daily reflections and life fragments from the artist, provide clues for those attempting to identify the original plant material—a task that proves both challenging and intriguing. The exhibition aims to highlight the hidden details of nature as it gracefully fades.

The venue in Parc de Bercy is accessible on the following schedule: on Sunday, 11 October 2026, from 14:00 to 17:00; from Tuesday to Friday, 13:30 to 17:30; and on Saturdays and Sundays, 13:30 to 17:00. Admission is free for all visitors.
