Bibliothèque Maurice Genevoix (Paris 18th)
About
The Graine de sciences workshop at the Bibliothèque Maurice Genevoix offers an engaging educational experience for children aged 7 and up. Participants explore the fascinating world of birds using the Birdie Memory game to master species identification through sight and sound. The session continues with a creative drawing workshop and a guided tour of the Drôles insectes exhibition by artist Margaux Segier. Designed to nurture curiosity and biodiversity awareness, this event is completely free of charge. Please note that advance booking is required via the library's official channels to secure a spot for this one-hour nature immersion.
With Birdie Memory, participants will learn to recognize different bird species, their colors, and their songs.
After this playful exploration of the world of birds, everyone will be able to let their imagination run wild by creating their own drawing inspired by the species discovered during the workshop. A visit to the "Funny Insects" exhibition by Margaux Segier will also be on the program!
An encounter between science, nature observation, and artistic expression.
This workshop develops attention, visual and auditory memory, as well as curiosity for the living world. It also invites us to take a closer look at the biodiversity that surrounds us every day.
