At the crossroads of jazz, soul, and blues.
A demanding musician with a strong temperament, she comes from gospel and performed with the Lionel Hampton orchestra in the 1940s.
Her repertoire sits at the intersection of jazz, blues, and rhythm & blues, with numerous hits in the 50s–60s, notably her recordings for Mercury Records.
Noticed in the greatest European clubs and festivals, Marion Chrétien made a name for herself within the famous Glossy Sisters and Shades Vocal band, with whom she has given over 500 concerts over the last 10 years in France and abroad.
She has established herself today as one of the standout voices of the French jazz scene.
She has been heard on the most beautiful stages: Jazz à Vienne, Crest Jazz Vocal (Jury and Public Prize), La Nuit Jazz Magazine at the Trianon, the Tahiti Jazz Festival alongside Dee Dee Bridgewater, or even the Tanjazz in Tangier.
