About

On the occasion of La Place's 10th anniversary, we are working on a collective exhibition bringing together about twenty French and international artists from urban cultures.

The exhibition is organized by Maquis-Art for La Place, with curation by Mika Papamichail.

The title CONVERGENCES echoes Châtelet-Les Halles, a true meeting point in the heart of Paris, but also the intersection of generations, styles, and scenes that make up urban art today.

The idea is to bring together artists with very different universes but who share the same culture. Graffiti, muralism, illustration, post-graffiti, and contemporary urban art will dialogue through a selection of established artists, each presenting two works representative of their work.

The exhibition will also echo the history of the Aérosol and the various projects that continue to keep urban cultures alive in France today, notably with the recent opening of the Aérosol La Tulipe in Marseille.

Among the first artists announced: Réso, Korse, Apset, Billy Gee, Jo Ber, Difuz, and Aero. We will tell you about the complete list of artists soon...

From October 2 to 8 at La Place!

Our take on this event

Deep in the city center, a powerful mix of graffiti legends and modern street artists collide to mark a decade of pure urban creativity. Expect a vibrant display of styles where street walls transcend their industrial origins to become true galleries of contemporary expression.

To mark ten years of activity, La Place presents Convergences, an urban art exhibition running from October 2 to October 8, 2026. This collective showcase, curated by Mika Papamichail and organized by Maquis-Art, brings together twenty French and international artists to explore the intersection of styles ranging from graffiti to contemporary muralism. Located in the heart of the Canopée, this event is fully accessible to wheelchair users, as well as visitors with visual, hearing, or cognitive impairments. Admission is paid, and the exhibition offers a deep dive into the evolution of urban culture, celebrating a decade of artistic influence in Paris.

Convergences celebrates a decade of La Place by hosting an exclusive group exhibition. Curated by Mika Papamichail, the event invites around twenty established artists to present two pieces each, reflecting the diversity of the current urban art scene. The exhibition serves as a meeting point, mirroring the central location of Châtelet-Les Halles, where different generations and techniques like graffiti, illustration, and post-graffiti converge.

The selection connects the history of L’Aérosol with modern projects like L’Aérosol La Tulipe in Marseille. Featured artists include Réso, Korse, Apset, Billy Gee, Jo Ber, Difuz, and Aero. This exhibition is an opportunity to witness how these varied artistic universes share a common cultural foundation.

Visit the exhibition between October 2 and October 8, 2026, at La Place, 10 passage de la Canopée, 75001 Paris. The venue ensures inclusive access for all, including wheelchair users and people with cognitive, visual, or hearing disabilities, with sign language support available. Please be aware that entry requires a paid ticket.
