Surrounding her are three formidable musicians. On saxophone, Shekinah Rodz, an American of Puerto Rican descent, incandescent and inspired, deploys music like territories to be conquered. On drums, Julie Saury, daughter of clarinetist Maxim Saury, has forged her reputation on French and international stages alongside the greatest, and her swing has long been acclaimed. On double bass, Antonella Mazza, the first woman to make a name for herself in jazz double bass in Italy, award-winner at the Roccella Jazz Festival alongside the Michael Brecker Quartet, lays the foundations with quiet authority.
