About

On Saturday, April 24, 2027, the Marguerite Yourcenar Library hosts L'heure musicale: les couleurs de la musique, a session exploring the deep connections between sound and color. From 10:30 to 11:30, attendees will examine how philosophy, literature, and imagination shape our understanding of musical timbres and modal colors. This event is free and open to the public, taking place in the library's auditorium on the -1 level. The venue is fully accessible, welcoming wheelchair users and providing support for those with visual impairments or cognitive disabilities.

"Orchestral color", "blue note", "modal color", these are all terms and expressions that show the importance that color can have in music. For this session, we will try to provide a varied insight into the connections between color and music through musical examples and certain explanations that literature, philosophy, or the imagination can provide us.
