About
Winner of the Parisculteurs project call initiated by the City of Paris, this urban farm is the very first in the capital to be established underground. It is in the 3,500 m² of the Raymond Queneau parking lot (18th arrondissement), owned by a social landlord, that the company Cycloponics created La Caverne. The idea: "to offer urban dwellers high-quality local production". No fertilizers, no pesticides, no GMOs... some of their produce even has AB certification (organic farming). In this new kind of "cave", these small producers take advantage of the dark, underground environment to revive an activity that disappeared from the capital a long time ago, renamed "cave market gardening".

Step into the depths of the 18th arrondissement to explore La Caverne, an innovative urban farm housed in a former underground parking structure. Recognized by the City of Paris, this project by Cycloponics utilizes 3500 m² of space to produce local, organic crops without the use of pesticides or GMOs. This rare opportunity offers an insight into subterranean farming techniques. The tour is open to visitors aged 8 and over and is wheelchair accessible. Attendance is free of charge. Please ensure you meet the group at 15:45 at 24-26 rue Raymond Queneau, as the tour officially commences at 16:00 sharp.
La Caverne is a pioneering agricultural project situated beneath the Raymond Queneau parking facility. By transforming a dormant subterranean space into a productive environment, Cycloponics has successfully reintroduced local market gardening to the city. Using neither chemicals nor fertilizers, the farm focuses on high-quality produce, with several crops carrying organic certification. Participants will witness how the unique dark environment is harnessed to grow specialties such as mushrooms and endives.
The tour takes place on Wednesday, 14 October 2026, from 16:00 to 17:30. Due to the nature of the location, visitor numbers are strictly capped at 25 people. Attendees are requested to gather at 15:45 at the entrance located at 24-26 rue Raymond Queneau. The facility is fully wheelchair accessible, ensuring that this unusual underground experience is available to a wide audience. Please note that the content is suitable for children from 8 years old.
