About

Flor de Toloache began its grand adventure in New York in 2008, under the impetus of Mireya I. Ramos (violin, vocals) and Shae Fiol (vihuela, vocals), both still leading the project today. As the only mariachi group comprised entirely of women, with a lineup that has evolved over the years, it brings together musicians of varied origins and cultures. Together, they blend traditional mariachi elements with diverse contemporary sounds (rock, jazz, pop, R&B...) to concoct a grand mix that is as explosive as it is exhilarating. Working at the confluence of tradition and modernity, Flor de Toloache demonstrates a remarkable capacity for innovation, amplified by a radiant energy that carries everything along in its path during live performances, where the group truly hits its stride.
