The Quatuor Arod, winner of the 2016 ARD Competition, will perform works by Beethoven, Debussy, Ravel, and Franck. This concert is suitable for guests aged 12 and over and takes place from 20:00 to 22:00. Attendees can look forward to a diverse repertoire ranging from classical quartets to intense instrumental sonatas, all housed within the exceptional acoustics of the Philharmonie de Paris. Tickets are required to attend this event.

The Quatuor Arod, winner of the prestigious ARD Competition in 2016, performs as a preamble to this concert themed around friendship, Beethoven's String Quartet No. 4, a work particularly well-received in its time, which had a way of exasperating the rarely satisfied composer. Next is French music, with Debussy's Violin Sonata, a score of whimsical bursts, followed by Ravel's dazzling Tzigane, one of his most deliberately virtuosic pieces. Franck's Quintet imposes a monumental conclusion: dramatic, highly expressive music that did not please its dedicatee, Camille Saint-Saëns. These reservations were swept aside by Debussy, who heard in it "real music".
