Step into the world of silent cinema at the Fondation Jérôme Seydoux-Pathé in Paris's 13th arrondissement. Designed for children aged 6 and up, the À vous de bruiter ! workshop invites families to create sound effects for films using percussion instruments. Working alongside pianists from Jean-François Zygel’s improvisation class at the CNSMDP, participants form an improvised orchestra to bring scenes to life. This 1h30 activity is fully wheelchair accessible and requires advance booking. Whether you are a budding artist or a film enthusiast, join this creative experience to master the art of foley and musical synchronization in a historic setting.
By manipulating percussion instruments, spectators create their own sound effects and try to meet the challenge of synchronizing sound with the image. The pianist joins this improvised orchestra, and together, they invent a musical world oscillating between realism and fantasy!
Sessions are accompanied by pianists from Jean-François Zygel's improvisation class (CNSMDP).
The workshops are designed to be done as a family. Parents accompany and participate in the workshops. From age 6 - Duration: 1h30

The Fondation Jérôme Seydoux-Pathé hosts a unique family workshop where participants aged 6 and older discover the art of sound design. This collaborative orchestra is accompanied by talented pianists from Jean-François Zygel’s improvisation class (CNSMDP), resulting in a musical performance that balances realism with cinematic fantasy.
Upcoming sessions include Thursday, October 29, 2026, at 14:30 (Halloween special), Saturday, November 21, 2026, at 10:30, and Wednesday, December 30, 2026, at 14:30. The venue is fully accessible to wheelchair users, ensuring an inclusive environment for all.
Tickets are priced at 8 € per person. Families can opt for the Family Package at 28 € (4 people, max 2 adults) or the Family Plus Package at 32 € (5 people, max 2 adults). Each additional person beyond 5 costs 4 €. Booking is mandatory for every attendee, with tickets available for purchase online or at the venue.
