About

Every Wednesday, the Jacqueline de Romilly library in Paris's 18th arrondissement hosts Les P'tits Trucs for children aged 6 to 12. From October 7, 2026, to June 30, 2027, this weekly event features a diverse schedule including arts and crafts, board games, video game sessions, and film screenings. Occasionally, local partners offer unique experiences like sports initiations or performances. This program is completely free to attend and the venue is fully wheelchair accessible, ensuring that everyone can join in the fun. It is the perfect opportunity for young locals to explore new hobbies within a welcoming public space.

Join us every week from September 17, 2025, to July 1, 2026, for alternating workshops:

  • Creative hobbies: yarn, paper, glue, paint... we bring all sorts of gadgets and works of art to life!
  • Board games: we discover games that are out of the ordinary!
  • Let's plays!: we test age-appropriate video games with the librarians!
  • Movies for older kids: sit back and enjoy a good film on the big screen. And action!

And occasionally, extra activities with neighborhood partners: introductions to boxing, fencing, shows... It's crazy what you can do in a library!

Our take on this event

Les P'tits Trucs turns the Jacqueline de Romilly library into a creative hub for children between 6 and 12 years old. Taking place every Wednesday from 16:00 to 17:30, the program offers a rotating selection of activities designed to engage young minds. Participants can dive into arts and crafts projects using paper and paint, discover unique board games, or enjoy guided video game sessions curated by the library staff. There are also designated times for film screenings, allowing children to enjoy movies on a large screen.

The experience is further enhanced by occasional guest appearances from local partners, who may lead special sessions such as boxing or fencing initiations and various live performances. This recurring series runs throughout the season, from October 7, 2026, until June 30, 2027.

Entry is free of charge for all participants. Located at 16 avenue de la Porte Montmartre, the facility is equipped to be accessible for wheelchair users, providing an inclusive environment for all children to learn and play.
