Introduction to Clouds

[Lecture + Field Trip] Do you know how the clouds we see every day are born? This lecture is an invitation to look up at the sky with fresh eyes. After an accessible introduction to the world of the atmosphere and meteorology, we will explore the mechanisms of cloud formation through concrete examples. You will discover the main types of clouds and learn how to recognize them, as well as some spectacular optical phenomena they offer to the attentive eye. The lecture, led by Marjorie Perrissin-Fabert, an enthusiast of clouds and meteorology, will conclude with an observation of the day's clouds in the Parc Floral de Paris, to put our new knowledge into practice.
