What does dressing in "second-hand" change? Each year, every French person buys an average of 10 kg of clothing, household linen, and shoes. All the jeans sold by a famous American brand are equivalent to the distance from Earth to Mars... However, textiles are one of the most impactful industries in the world and our wardrobe has a strong environmental impact! For example, the production of a pair of jeans uses 8,000 L of water, and it travels around the world about 1.5 times before reaching the store. While only 1/3 of our clothes are currently collected and sorted to be reused or recycled... So dressing with second-hand, mending, customizing your clothes, creating your own accessories from recycled fabrics is taking action for the planet!
