The Jardin des Plantes invites you to celebrate the Toussaint holidays from October 17 to November 1, 2026, with a rich cultural and scientific program. Families, art enthusiasts, and nature lovers can explore various exhibitions, attend the Pariscience international film festival, or join creative workshops across the site. Whether you are observing prehistoric fossils or discovering the secrets of palm trees, there is something for every age. Please note that while many activities are included with your entry ticket, booking is strongly recommended for Pariscience screenings to ensure your spot in the Grande Galerie de l'Évolution.
Festive weekend Artists at the Museum and night opening
We kick off the All Saints' holidays with a major art-themed weekend and an exceptional night opening! On October 17 and 18, let's celebrate the opening of the exhibition Artists at the Museum with a range of free activities: art installation, guided and culinary tours, modeling workshops, naturalistic drawing or electronic creation workshops, collaborative mural, theater performances, music and dance…
Special night opening for Saturday evening! Attend a dance performance of the choreography Murmuration, Level 2 by the Sadeck Berrabah troupe among the animals of the Grande Galerie de l’Évolution.

What better place than the Grandes Serres to discover the fascinating world of palms? For this 5th edition, the Tropical Autumn exhibition will take you on a journey into the world of palm trees, focusing on four major themes: their morphology, their habitats, their history, and their use by humans. Let's explore the fabulous diversity of palms, which are essential plants, cultural symbols, and major actors of ecosystems!

Creative family moments
1, 2, 3! During the All Saints' holidays, you have a choice to participate in creative family workshops, designed for children and their parents:
- On Thursdays and Fridays, learn naturalistic illustration with naturalistic artist and illustrator Ingrid Winkler! From age 6.
- On Saturdays, get inspired by the dreamlike works of symbolist painter Odilon Redon and the winged specimens of the Grande Galerie de l'Évolution to make your own creation. From age 6.
- On Sundays, learn welding and assembly of simple electronic components to create your own little sound circuit capable of imitating a bird's song! From age 8.
At home, participate as a family in the Drawing in the Garden artistic challenge on Instagram! One word to draw for every day of the month of October.

Our take on this event
The season kicks off with a festive weekend on October 17 and 18, marking the opening of the Artistes au Muséum exhibition with live performances, including a Saturday night dance show by Sadeck Berrabah’s troupe. Throughout the holidays, explore the Tropical Autumn exhibition in the greenhouses or dive into the prehistoric past with the Sur les traces des dinosaures display, which showcases 140-million-year-old fossils.
Animal lovers can head to the Ménagerie zoo daily from 14:00 to 17:00 for special Halloween-themed activities suitable for ages 6 and up, included in your admission. For cinema fans, the 22nd edition of the Pariscience festival runs from October 22 to 26, offering free screenings.
Families can also participate in various creative workshops. Thursdays and Fridays are dedicated to naturalistic illustration, Saturdays focus on artistic creation inspired by Odilon Redon, and Sundays offer electronics workshops for children aged 8 and older. Additionally, flash animations are held daily, covering topics from taxidermy to palm oil and zookeeper insights.
