Eglise St Jean Bosco (Paris 20th)
This event has ended.
About
Built in the 1930s and registered as a Historic Monument, Saint-Jean Bosco is the only 100% Art Deco church in Paris. Its geometric elegance, the modernity of its lines, and the richness of its decorations make it an exceptional witness to this creative period that marked the urban landscape of the 20th century.
Today threatened by water infiltration and the passage of time, it requires urgent restoration. To raise funds for this project, Henri-Franck Beaupérin, emeritus organist of Angers Cathedral and titular organist of the Silvanès Abbey, has agreed to give a concert with all proceeds donated to the renovation project.
Program:
- Robert Schumann: Four Sketches
- César Franck: Heroic Piece
- Modest Mussorgsky: Pictures at an Exhibition
This concert is part of a cycle of 4 concerts. Next dates: November 15.
