La Maison du Film is an association open to everyone that aims to create the first professional dynamics for French cinema talents.

This meeting will be dedicated to "directing actors," that very special relationship that is forged between a filmmaker and their actors around a film and the creation of a character.

Using examples from their own shoots, the guests will revisit the filmmaker/actor collaborations that have shaped their careers, and will share with the audience the preparations, exercises, and directions that allowed the acting to flourish on set.

From 10:00 to 12:00, industry professionals will analyze the complex dynamics between filmmakers and their cast, focusing on how characters are developed and refined throughout the filmmaking process. Guests will share insights from their own sets, discussing the exercises, preparation methods, and on-set guidance that help performances flourish.

The panel features director Pierre-Loup Docteur, casting director Tamara Kozo, and the 2026 Interpretation Label winners, Nina Azouzi and Jonathan Darona. They will reflect on key collaborations and the professional methodologies that have shaped their careers. The event takes place at the Bibliothèque du cinéma François Truffaut, located on level -3 of the Forum des Halles in Paris' 1st arrondissement. Admission is free for all attendees 18 years of age and older. The venue is entirely wheelchair accessible, ensuring a welcoming environment for all participants.
