Traveling back in time through music.
On December 22, 1808, Beethoven conducted a legendary concert in Vienna, during which he presented several of his works. More than two centuries later, the Orchestre de chambre de Paris invites us to immerse ourselves in that era with a program inspired by this historic event.
At the heart of the evening: the famous Symphony No. 6, known as the "Pastoral", a work in which Beethoven depicts nature through music: landscapes, a stream, a storm, birdsong... Also featured is a rarer work, Ah! perfido, performed by mezzo-soprano Eva Zaïcik, as well as Méhul's Symphony No. 1, another great musical figure of the time. All under the baton of Thomas Hengelbrock.
🌿 200 years later, Beethoven's music is still here.
