Stop dreaming and start creating by learning the ropes directly from seasoned industry experts. These intimate workshops are specifically designed to help amateurs master the technical and artistic skills needed to bring any theatrical project to life.

About

Amasteurclass offers practical workshops designed to build autonomy and expertise for amateur performers. Led by professionals, these sessions cover essential skills such as digital communication, playwriting, and lighting design. The program is open to anyone aged 12 and up, excluding professional companies. These workshops take place at various MPAA venues, including MPAA/Saint-Blaise. Participants can choose between a standard ticket at 80 € or a reduced rate of 60 € for students, job seekers, or those attending multiple sessions. Reservations are required for all workshops, which run from November 7, 2026, to March 20, 2027.

Designed to support the expertise and autonomy of amateur artists, the Amasteurclasses are small-group workshops led by professionals focusing on concrete and useful topics for creating a show. The Amasteurclasses are not aimed at professional companies.

Our take on this event

Amasteurclass provides amateur artists with concrete tools to develop their live performance projects. Through small group settings, participants learn directly from industry professionals. The curriculum features digital communication modules led by Lucas Ponton-Lepaon, creative writing workshops with Faustine Nogues and Haïla Hessou, and stage lighting training with Pedro Vargas.

The series runs from November 7, 2026, to March 20, 2027. Session times are tailored to the subject matter: 10:00 to 16:00 for communication, 10:00 to 17:00 for writing, and 10:00 to 18:00 for lighting. Venues include MPAA/Saint-Blaise, MPAA/La Canopée, and MPAA/Broussais. Advance booking is mandatory to secure a spot in these sessions.

The standard fee is 80 €. A reduced rate of 60 € applies to specific categories, including students, individuals under 26, job seekers, those receiving social welfare, and repeat participants who sign up for two or more Amasteurclass sessions this season. Please note that these workshops are strictly for amateurs and are not intended for professional theater companies.
