About
The Théâtre Thénardier in Montreuil presents an exclusive flamenco recital featuring cantaor Antonio « El Turry » and guitarist Miguel Angel Cortes. Across two evenings on October 15 and 16, 2026, the duo performs a set showcasing the rich heritage of Andalusian music. The venue is wheelchair accessible, ensuring a welcoming environment for all attendees. Doors open at 19:30, offering an opportunity to enjoy Spanish tapas and drinks before the music begins. Tickets are priced between 15 and 30 euros, and advance booking is required to secure your attendance at this intimate performance.
The cantaor Antonio 'El Turry' is the son of guitarist Ricardo de la Juana and bailaora Rosa la Canastera. At the age of 10, he joined his father's company and began his professional career. At 18, he left Almuñécar for Granada, where he began working in the main tablaos of the province. Since then, despite his young age, he has worked with many great names in the world of flamenco: Eva Yerbabuena, Niño Josele, Marina Heredia, Juan de Juan and Antonio 'El Farru', among others.
He will be accompanied on guitar (al toque) by Miguel Angel Cortes, a great guitarist from Granada whom we already hosted for a solo recital in 2025.
Throughout his career, he has distinguished himself by accompanying prestigious flamenco artists such as Enrique Morente, Carmen Linares, José Mercé, Chano Lobato, José de La Tomasa, Chiquetete, El Pele, Miguel Poveda, Estrella Morente and Marina Heredia, and many others. Lately, he can be heard alongside Esperanza Fernández, Arcángel and Rocío Márquez. He has also collaborated with different musical styles, such as Mick Taylor, Luz Casal, Antonio Orozco, Manuel Carrasco, Kiko Veneno and Diana Navarro, among others.
Both will give a master class on Saturday, October 17, 2026, during their visit to Paris.
