About
The Petits Papiers writing workshop welcomes experienced writers to L'Atelier sous les Toits in the 12th arrondissement. Designed for those seeking greater autonomy, these sessions allow you to develop personal texts or short stories by drawing inspiration from a collective pool of notes created at the start of the afternoon. Alternating between writing phases and shared readings, each session ends with collaborative feedback. Open to adults aged 18 and over, these workshops are available by reservation for 50 euros per session or 225 euros for an annual pass, with both in-person and video participation options.
Produce more, several texts or a single one developed throughout the afternoon. This workshop is aimed at those who already have experience in writing workshops and wish to write with greater autonomy.
At the start, everyone scribbles a multitude of small papers that kickstart the writing process. Throughout the afternoon, we draw from this collective reserve to boost inspiration. Readings punctuate the writing periods, which lengthen as we go.
At the end of the afternoon, there will be cross-reflections on everyone's writing.

Our take on this event
Based at 84, rue de Charenton, these workshops run from November 28, 2026, until May 1, 2027. Each session takes place from 14:00 to 18:30. The methodology centers on the 'petits papiers' technique, where participants generate numerous small notes to fuel their creativity and overcome blocks. As the afternoon progresses, writing periods lengthen, punctuated by readings and concluding with group discussions to review individual progress.
These sessions are specifically tailored for adults with previous writing experience or strong writing skills. To maintain a focused environment, attendance is limited to 8 participants. Whether you are working on a specific novella or a personal project, the format provides the structure needed to deepen your craft.
You may choose to attend in person at L'Atelier sous les Toits or join remotely via video conference. Tickets are priced at 50 euros per individual workshop, or you may opt for the annual package at a total cost of 225 euros.
