About
Claude's Journey – a musical and illustrated Claud-yssey
Claude's Journey is a show for young audiences that dives headfirst into a poetic, musical, and visual universe. An initiatory adventure that begins with a failure: Claude, a curious and sensitive little heroine, cannot swim. Never mind: she sets off to discover the world, meeting colorful characters who will help her overcome her fears and find her way. A sweet and joyful odyssey, between introspection, humor, and emancipation. But… bloup! We prefer not to reveal everything to you…
On stage, the Claude Trio unfolds a living score, between jazz and storytelling. The music, written especially for the project, mixes improvised flights, playful grooves, and dreamy melodies. It accompanies the narrative, recorded beforehand and carried by the voices of the musicians themselves, in an alternation of dialogues, zany situations, and poetic confidences.
And while the music tells the story, Sophie Bataille, a globetrotting watercolorist, draws the entire story of Claude live. Her brushes bring landscapes, emotions, and characters to life. She reveals, transforms, erases, and starts over, in total symbiosis with the trio. Like a living travel diary, where each drawing is built before our eyes, carried by the music.
Claude's Journey is 45 minutes of sensitive immersion for young and old alike. A show where children (and adults!) discover jazz without prejudice, with the enthusiasm of play, the power of imagination, and the softness of watercolor. An initiatory tale, but also an invitation to feel, to marvel, to laugh, to grow. Flippers, swimming cap, and a wide-open heart recommended.
Duration: 45 minutes. Suitable for all audiences from 7 years old. Each ticket is €13 online (single rate, valid for 1 person, child or adult). Doors open 30 minutes before. Reservations are highly recommended.

In co-production with the Collectif Déluge. As part of the young audience festival Graines de jazz Jazz sur Seine 2026.
