About
The Maddy Orsinet Quartet offers you a journey through the most beautiful melodies of the greatest voices of the Caribbean. Interpretations designed in an intimate atmosphere as a quartet of Voice – Piano – Bass – Percussion.
The chosen arrangements highlight unique and timeless melodies, which take the spectator on a journey into the heart of the Caribbean islands: biguine, zouk, ballad, waltz, all with swaying accents flooded with sunshine.
We discover or rediscover the warm and melodious voice of Maddy Orsinet, whose experiences across Jazz, Gospel, and the traditional and modern music of Martinique are put to the service of this refined musical proposal where the vocal melody takes center stage.
Paco Man’Alma on piano offers arrangements filled with swing and are deeply musical to highlight the voice. We hear all the harmonic richness of the music of the Antilles, up to the brass instruments, not forgetting the choirs that he sings for Maddy or plays on the piano.
Benjamin Barbe is the “groove” guarantor of this group thanks to his precise, extremely musical playing that is anchored in the Caribbean. Guillermo Rojas is the heartbeat of this formation; his percussion playing is sometimes melodic and airy, sometimes anchored in the roots of the Caribbean islands.
