Our take on this event
Step into a vibrant laboratory of sound where acoustic precision meets electronic experimentation. You will discover raw, forward-thinking performances crafted by the next generation of bold composers and ensembles. It is the perfect playground for anyone curious about the cutting edge of contemporary music.
The Festival création #1 comes to the Paris Regional Conservatory in the 8th arrondissement from December 4 to December 8, 2026. This free event, open to audiences aged 12 and up, offers a deep dive into contemporary music. Featuring the Ensemble 2e2m and various guest artists, the festival provides a rich program of open rehearsals, workshops, lectures, and concerts. It is a unique opportunity to explore the inner workings of musical composition and acousmatic performance within a prestigious artistic environment.
The first edition of the Festival création takes place at the Conservatoire à rayonnement régional de Paris, Ida Rubinstein site, across five days dedicated to contemporary musical expression. Friday, December 4, begins at 10:00 with an open rehearsal by the Ensemble CRRéation. The day continues with workshops led by Corinne Schneider and a talk by Aurélie Bouchard, followed at 15:30 by an open house of Maël Bailly’s Fabriq'création studio. At 17:30, students present their works alongside Davy Basquin’s wind orchestra and members of the Ensemble 2e2m.
On Saturday, December 5, the focus shifts to the acousmonium. At 14:00 and 15:45, Jonathan Prager leads an introduction and a public workshop on acousmatic interpretation, featuring students from the electroacoustic composition classes of Paul Ramage and Jonathan Prager.
On December 7 and 8, the Marcel Landowski auditorium hosts concerts at 18:00 and 19:30. Monday features compositions by students of Karl Naegelen, Maël Bailly, Paul Ramage, and Jonathan Prager, followed by a Carte Blanche performance by Motus. The festival concludes on Tuesday with works from the composition classes and a final Carte Blanche featuring the Ensemble 2e2m, conducted by Léo Margue, uniting professional musicians and instrumental students.
