; Credits : jsIn La vie brute, Joy Sorman explores the encounter between the author and Irène Gérard, a so-called "outsider" artist living in seclusion in the Ardennes, who is neurodivergent. For a year, Sorman attempts to unravel the mystery of this woman whose art, both raw and poetic, fascinates and intrigues. Their relationship becomes a pretext for questioning marginality, artistic creation, and the search for meaning through the other.
