Founded in 1874, this amateur orchestra, one of the oldest in the capital, brings together more than seventy musicians in repertoires at the crossroads of classical and contemporary music. With the creation We are the wind, La Sirène de Paris offers an original collaboration with the jazz quartet Hormê – trombone, guitar, double bass, drums – to stir the imagination. The repertoire, built around the compositions of Rozann Bézier, draws moving landscapes, crossed by breaths and bursts. These fiery works plunge into the heart of climatic elements, from mists to storms, with an unprecedented emotional intensity.
Under the direction of William Le Sage, the La Sirène de Paris symphonic band reveals all its sensitivity and taste for collective dynamics. True to its mission, it defends more than ever a living musical practice, where popular music and contemporary creation engage in dialogue.
