Ameth Sissokho & Sora Yaa Band / DJ Cucurucho - Pop Ball

Born in the vibrant crucible of Paris's Goutte d'Or neighborhood, the Sora Yaa Band mixes languages and styles with a good dose of ginger while keeping its furiously African groove, from sweating blues to frenzied dancing, through to sexy ballads.

About

DJ Cucurucho

DJ Cucurucho, a regular performer since 2018 and founder of the Bal Tropical de Paname, offers a global musical palette: Afro, Caribbean, Latin, Arabic… and brings diasporas together around a shared groove.

The Pop Ball

Throughout the season, the CENTQUATRE-PARIS sparks exhilarating sessions of collective euphoria with the Pop Balls, orchestrated by DJs and bands from diverse musical backgrounds in a resolutely unifying spirit. In the guise of a modernized open-air dance hall, the Pop Ball gathers families, neighbors, friends, and dance enthusiasts around live bands and sets. Make no mistake: while the Pop Ball appreciates the java, tango, and musette waltz, it is also open to current musical currents, from Latin swing to Afro-Caribbean sounds. A friendly and free moment to dance, meet up, and celebrate together.
