About

Celebrate the Halloween season with The Canterville Ghost, a theatrical performance specifically designed for children aged 5 to 10. Hosted at La Folie Théâtre in the 11th arrondissement, this adaptation follows a hapless ghost struggling to haunt a family that refuses to be intimidated. Between cushions thrown in laughter and failed attempts at vengeance, the show offers a lighthearted take on a classic ghost story. The venue is fully wheelchair accessible, ensuring that every family can join in on the supernatural fun from October 4th through November 1st, 2026.

Every night, the Canterville ghost wanders the hallways in search of humans to frighten! Until the day the Otis family moves in: humans who aren't scared at all. Between the parents' teasing and the children's jokes as they laughingly throw cushions at his head, the poor ghost is put through the wringer... and seeks revenge!

Our take on this event

La Folie Théâtre presents an entertaining spin on The Canterville Ghost, tailored for an audience of children between the ages of 5 and 10. In this version, the ghost finds himself completely outmatched by the Otis family, who prefer mocking the spectre and throwing cushions at him rather than feeling any dread. This humorous conflict turns the haunted mansion into a place of laughter rather than fear, making for a perfect autumn outing.

Performances are held from 14:00 to 15:20. From August 26th to October 18th, 2026, the show is scheduled on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Starting October 19th through November 1st, 2026, the play runs daily. The theater is wheelchair accessible, providing inclusive access for all guests.

Tickets are priced between 12 and 16 euros. You can find the venue at 6, rue de la Folie Méricourt, in the heart of Paris's 11th district.
