Chaillot - Théâtre national de la Danse (Paris 16th)
About
On March 19 and 20, 2027, Chaillot - Théâtre national de la Danse teams up with the Centre Pompidou for a special weekend marking the museum's 50th anniversary. This multidisciplinary event turns the iconic theater into a vibrant playground featuring spontaneous performances, hands-on workshops, and musical sessions. Designed to explore the connection between dance and contemporary visual arts, the program is a true celebration of creative movement. The entire venue is fully wheelchair accessible, ensuring that everyone can participate comfortably in this unique artistic experience across the palace at 1 place du Trocadéro et du 11 novembre.
Since 2025, the Centre Pompidou has been transforming. Its iconic building located in the Beaubourg district of Paris is closing its doors for a renovation that will allow it to reconnect, starting in 2030, with its original utopia and project itself into the future. The Centre Pompidou is using this period to send its collection on tour and share the richness of its multidisciplinary programming. In 2027, the Centre Pompidou in Constellation celebrates its 50th anniversary! Chaillot, the palace of Art Deco and Dance, will participate in this celebration for a weekend. The entire spirit of the Centre Pompidou is embodied in this hybrid programming that brings together all the arts. During this Chaillot Experience, the theater becomes a playground and a place for encounters: spontaneous performances, workshops for experimentation, and festive and musical moments. A myriad of artistic proposals to create a dialogue between movements and forms, and to reveal, in motion, the subtle links between dance and contemporary visual arts.
"Equity as a compass. Self-learning as a method. The collective as a horizon." — Saïdo Lehlouh, Choreographer and co-director of the FAIR-E collective / CCN of Rennes and Brittany
