Chess arrives at Paris Plages

Chess arrives at Paris Plages

From August 6 to 16, the Esports World Cup takes over Paris Plages with 8 chess tables open to everyone, mixing competition, free play, and discovery.

On August 6, 7, 8, and 9, four daily tournaments will bring together amateur players in an accessible format, allowing everyone to try their luck in a true competitive atmosphere. Each day will feature its own tournament in a knockout format, until a winner is determined. Prizes will be awarded to the winners of each tournament!

From August 10 to August 16, the space will transform into a free-play zone. The public will be able to borrow a chessboard for free at the reception, set up at the tables provided, and play freely with friends, family, or other visitors. Facilitators will be present to welcome the public, explain the rules to beginners, and encourage encounters between players of all levels.

Designed as an accessible and friendly living space, this installation will allow enthusiasts and the curious alike to discover or rediscover chess in an exceptional summer setting, in the heart of Paris Plages.
