Libraries at the Bassin de la Villette

The libraries of the 19th arrondissement are stepping outside their walls to meet you at the edge of the Bassin de la Villette for a moment of relaxation, discovery, and shared pleasure.
From July 4th to August 22nd, Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM, a friendly space awaits you to read, create, play… or simply enjoy the summer by the water.

Get comfortable under a parasol or in the shade of the trees and dive into a selection of books for all ages: children's books, comics, novels, documentaries… Plenty to satisfy curious readers, little explorers, and big dreamers alike.

But the BHLM is not just about reading. Librarians also offer creative workshops to let your imagination run wild and board games for a fun shared experience.

Whether you are with family, friends, or solo, it is the ideal opportunity to enjoy a simple and joyful moment in a relaxed summer atmosphere. A refreshing cultural break, open to everyone, to savor summer in a different way.
